QAL Director: Patricia Tyrer

The Queensland Academy of Languages was founded in 1996. Since then, hundreds of students have completed courses and achieved their goals and dreams.

The Queensland Academy of Languages’ aim is to design, provide and conduct a range of high quality, educational language courses for both domestic and international students. Q.A.L. is dedicated to the personal development of its students on an intellectual, creative and interpersonal level.

Whilst providing this training and development the Academy’s aims include:

  • Encouraging the pursuit of excellence so that each participant strives to attain the highest standards of which they are capable, personally.
  • Fostering an open spirit of inquiry and respect for the truth and pursuit of wisdom.

We will achieve these aims by:

  • Providing personalized tuition by experienced, qualified and committed staff.
  • Keeping current with improvements and advances in technology that impact on our training programs and offer training relevant to current employment and market standards.
  • Giving the highest priority to the competent attainment, by students, of literacy and numeracy.
  • Fostering the development of the whole person, including the student’s moral, intellectual, social, aesthetic, emotional and cultural development in education for life.
  • Encouraging the pursuit of excellence in all student endeavours, so that each student will strive to attain the highest standards of which they are capable.
  • Developing an open spirit of inquiry and respect for the truth in students’ pursuit of wisdom and knowledge.
  • Providing personalised tuition by experienced, qualified and dedicated staff.
  • Commitment to keeping abreast of improvements and advances in technology and offer programs relevant to current employment and market standards.

The Academy strives for higher education through the delivery of accredited courses. The courses are provided to further students’ skills and to open doors for jobs in Australia and across the world.

Q.A.L. has had a lot of success in opening doors to jobs for its students both here and overseas. On occasion a student can also fulfill the practical requirements of a course overseas as part of the package.
